Mission
The mission of our Agricultural Programs is to cultivate an enriching and nurturing environment for exceptional education and pioneering research. We are dedicated to preparing graduates for a lifetime of learning and impactful careers, nurturing their leadership, professionalism, and ethical values. Committed to delivering top-tier professional services to our community, we also strive to advance the frontiers of knowledge and technology in agricultural sciences and engineering through innovative teaching and research.
Our offerings
The Department of Agriculture offers two undergraduate programs—in agriculture and agribusiness—as well as a graduate program with several specializations. The Agriculture Program trains students to become leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, educators, and practitioners who can advance the profession of Agricultural Engineering and contribute to advancing food and water security of the region and beyond. Graduates will be eligible to enroll in the Order of Engineers as Agricultural Engineers. The Agribusiness Program trains students to devise optimal strategies for agro and food marketing while focusing on the fair-trade aspect of production.
Our graduate programs enable agricultural engineers to advance their knowledge and experience in various agricultural disciplines (Animal, Plant, Land, and Water). Earning a graduate degree from the Department of Agriculture places the students at the forefront of meeting the global food and water challenges. ċ
