  Founded in 1866, ̩��Ʊ is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. ̩��Ʊhas over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. The University encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, lifelong learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership.

The main language of instruction is English.

Founded in 1900 as the School of Commerce at the Syrian Protestant College, business education at ̩��Ʊhas been at the forefront of business education for over a century. From its roots as one of the first business programs in the region to its transformation into a globally recognized institution now known as the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business that continues to transform business thinking across the MENA region.
